Teachers and Students from Yinjiaxi Central Kindergarten Visited Zhangjiajie Giant Salamander Museum
On November 13th, 2015, teachers and students from Yinjiaxi Central Kindergarten visited Zhangjiajie Giant Salamander Museum (hereinafter referred to as “Giant Salamander Museum”) and took part in various kinds of parent-child science popularization activities.
Accompanied by parents and teachers, over 150 children came to Giant Salamander Museum to visit giant salamander’s home and played a series of interesting parent-child games. Through interactive multimedia presentations with sound, light and electronics, Giant Salamander Museum offered students chances to know more about giant salamander including its life habit and get close to giant salamanders.
With a theme of giant salamander, which is listed as Class II protected species in China and honored as Zhangjiajie’s mascot, Giant Salamander Museum displays giant salamander’s life history evolution for billions of years and integrates knowledge, interaction, art and science popularization. Recently, Giant Salamander Museum designed a series of parent-child science popularization activities for kindergarten children, primary and secondary school students, letting them learn more about giant salamander while playing games.
